If there is anything I have learned from living with a man who had Lewy Body Dementia with Capgras Syndrome, it is this. NEVER argue with a delusion or hallucination. The things closest to the individual, people and places will be the most compromised. If you argue, or explain, or try to reason, you take the chance of turning your loved one against you. What worked for me was moving into his world. If he said I should get out of bed because his wife slept there, I got out of bed. If he said the status of the moose was having babies, I said I hoped they would be okay. If we were sitting together and he wondered where his wife was, I would tell him I would look for her. I'd change my shirt, come back, and he'd ask where I'd been. It worked for me
